Edmund R. Morrissey

President

Ed is a 1967 graduate of Marquette High School in Alton, Illinois and a 1971 graduate of the University of Miami School of Business in finance.

Ed joined Morrissey Corporation to work in the development of public and private multi-family construction, including Loretto Towers Condominium located in the historic Christian Hill District in Alton, Illinois, where he and his wife, Patty, still reside.

Ed played a leading role in the successful development of many affordable housing programs from 1975 to 1985, including the Turnkey and Section 8 assisted housing programs, including the first Section 8 in the US sponsored by an agency of a PHA with private tax exempt bond financing.

Since becoming president in 1997, Ed has continued leading the company’s activities in all phases of the construction industry, including affordable housing, retail, commercial and educational.

Morrissey Construction re-entered the tax credit housing field in 1998, successfully completing many outstanding new-construction and renovation developments.

Ed holds numerous construction and safety certifications and continues to be active in many local, state and national community and construction organizations.

Michael M. Morrissey

Secretary

Mike Morrissey serves as the vice president and secretary for Morrissey Construction Company.  He graduated in 1973 from the University of Miami, Florida, School of Business.  After graduation, Morrissey opened Morrissey Construction Company of Missouri in 1973 and developed the first ever condominium conversion project in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.  Upon moving to Illinois, he managed multiple multifamily, commercial, educational projects and was the Custom Home Builder of the Year in 1975.  He now leads MCC with over thirty-six years of experience.

Thomas E. Deters

Director of Business Development

Deters is the director of business development.  He possesses over twenty years of construction experience and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  Deters began his career in central Missouri and was the President of Construction and Development for a building firm he co-owned that built investor projects along the southern portion of the United States.

Deters has overseen more than $178 million worth of product across the country and has overseen the production of more than 1,000 homes and 8,000 apartment units.  While living in Columbia, Deters was a recipient of the coveted, ‘40 under 40’ award, given to distinguished business professionals.

Craig A. Lindquist, P.E.

Board of Directors

Mr. Lindquist is the president of CCS Group, Inc., a construction consulting firm specializing in Construction Project Management, CPM Scheduling and Dispute Resolution.  He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla and holds registration as a Professional Engineer in Missouri.  Craig has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry as a general contractor, real estate developer and construction consultant.  He is a panel member of both the American Arbitration Association’s Arbitration and Mediation Panels and holds a Missouri Real Estate Brokers License.

CCS Group specializes in project management for both public and private owners and provides CPM scheduling services for contractors and owners, including the State of Missouri, Division of Design and Construction, University of Missouri and University of Cincinnati.  Mr. Lindquist has been engaged in the dispute resolution business for 20 years, assisting owners, design professionals and subcontractors in the resolution of numerous disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

J. Thomas Long

Board of Directors

Tom Long graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Accounting.  From 1972 through 1974, he served in the United States Army.  Upon his honorable discharge, Tom attended Southern Methodist University Law School receiving his Juries Doctorate Degree in 1976.

Long is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri, and is a Certified Public Accountant.  He is a member of the Illinois, Alton Wood River, Madison County and St. Louis Metropolitan Bar Associations, the Illinois C.P.A. Society, and is an active Member of the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

Long is the Chairman of the Board of First National Bank of Grant Park, Illinois. He is also actively engaged in the practice of law with Roth, Evans & Lading, P.C.  Tom is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton, and is the past President of the Southwestern Illinois Employers Association.

Long currently lives in Godfrey with his wife Robin and daughter, Emma.
