Morrissey Construction Company Awarded Contract for Roxana CUSD No. 1 Cafeteria/Commons Addt.
(05/07/10) – Morrissey Construction Company is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract for the Roxana CUSD No. 1 Cafeteria/Commons Addition located in East St. Louis, IL.
The project includes a 12,000 square foot cafeteria/commons addition that will seat approximately 400 and will be used for student meals, banquets, as well as an all purpose meeting area. The addition also includes two elevators, providing accessibility to all levels of the junior and senior high schools and is scheduled to be complete by August 2011, with the cafeteria space, without the kitchen, expected to be ready for use by next spring.
The project is completely funded through the $2.6 million in capital set aside by previous boards for building projects, along with $400,000.00 received from ARRA (federal stimulus money) and $980,000.00 provided by the Conoco Energy Efficiency Fund.
