Morrissey Construction Company Completes Prairie Pointe in Monmouth, IL
(7/26/11) - Morrissey Construction Company is pleased to announce that it recently completed Prairie Pointe located in Monmouth, IL.
The development consists of 25 buildings comprised of 40 units totaling 52,516 sq. ft. on 10 acres. Building types include: side-by-side two and three bedroom apartments, two-story three bedroom apartments, and four bedroom and two bath family homes.
Prairie Point took 10 months to complete and exceeded the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s Green Housing Initiatives green home checklist to receive extra tax credit points.
Amenities include a clubhouse that features laundry facilities, a computer room, and a community kitchen. A walking path, playground, and community gardens are also provided.
A large amount of support was provided from the City of Monmouth to make the development possible. The city annexed the land and extended Enterprise Zone benefits and the Warren County Housing Authority provided eight rental subsidy vouchers. Funding was provided by the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s TCAP, 1602, and HOME programs.
Daveri Development Group, LLC out of Chicago, IL was the chosen developer.
