Morrissey Construction Company to Begin Work on New Apartment Complex
(9/2/08) – Morrissey Construction Company, a national contracting firm, is pleased to announce that it is ready to begin construction of the new apartment complex named Meachum Crossing, which will be located in Venice, Illinois. The 22-building complex (including one community center) will consist of 78 apartment units totaling approximately 108,000 square feet. Construction on the estimated $11.5 million project is expected to be completed by December 2009.
Morrissey Construction Company will be completing the work for Mr. John Downs and the Madison County Housing Authority. The architect designing the project is Henderson and Associates. Six other bids were submitted for the project.
When asked his thoughts on the bid win, Ed Morrissey had this to say, “This is not the first time that Morrissey Construction Company will be performing work for this client. Due to our extensive experience in the industry and knowledge of area subcontractors, we were able to save the client nearly $600,000 on the project.”
