MCC California Project Receives Cultural Affairs Commission Design Award
The Dockweiler State Beach Youth Center in Los Angeles, CA - currently under construction by Morrissey Construction Company (CA Office) - has won a “Citation Award” in the Cultural Affairs Commission Design Awards Category. The award was presented to Randall and Greg Woodell June 4, 2008 at the AIA Awards Banquet.

This is the first year for this sub-category that recognizes both built and un-built projects. The Cultural Affairs Commission Design Awards were created “to gain greater awareness of an appreciation for city projects”.
