Morrissey Construction Company Breaks Ground on Brookshire Estates
(12/21/04) – Morrissey Construction Company broke ground on the Brookshire Estates apartment complex located at the south end of Jerseyville, IL just off Illinois Route 109. The development will consist of 48 two- and three-bedroom apartments, a 1,500 square foot community clubhouse for apartment residents and a play area for children. The clubhouse will contain on-site laundry facilities and a computer lab where residents will be able to take educational courses and/or learn how to use a computer. Capstone Development Group of St. Louis will own, operate and maintain the property.
Construction is expected to be completed within seven or eight months, with part of the construction costs being paid with $4.9 million in low-income housing tax credits and HOME investment partnership program funds from the Illinois Housing Development Authority.
