Morrissey Construction Company Breaks Ground on First Green Project South of Chicago
(03/27/09) – Morrissey Construction Company is pleased to announce they have successfully completed the first “Green Community” in Southern Illinois named Hunter’s Trace Subdivision. Hunter’s Trace Subdivision is located in beautiful Benton, Illinois and consists of 32 single-family homes and a state of the art resource center. This “Green Community” met the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s Green Housing Initiatives Program and provided an instructional video and information booklet to in-service residents on their new “Green” built homes. MCC takes pride in the early completion of this project to allow some of the residents to reside in these homes before the 2008 Christmas Holiday. Morrissey Construction Company looks to incorporate “Green Building” practices in all their projects in the goal of a more promising environment for our future.
