MCC Receives Captain of the River Bend Award
Morrissey Construction Company received the Captains of the River Bend Award October 22, 2009 at the annual State of the River Bend luncheon.
One of six recipients at the event being held at the Lewis and Clark Community College, MCC was recognized for Community Enhancement, which is measured by the company’s level of community service, cash donations and in-kind donations. MCC was honored for donating nearly $19,000.00 in cash donations and $40,000.00 of in-kind donations to local service groups last fiscal year.
“In this uncertain economy it’s a challenging season for everyone, but for those without any resources on which to fall back, our generosity is their only hope,” Edmund Morrissey said.
Celebrating its 55th year in operation, MCC continues to promote housing improvements in the River Bend and participates in many community beautification projects. “Morrissey Construction Company’s work and dedication to the community can be seen throughout our area,” River Bend Growth Association president Monica Bristow said. “We commend them for their pride in our community and for their willingness to come together as a team to contribute to our quality of life.”
